Mayor Lauretti and Community Business Leaders Commemorate Golden Anniversary for Long Time Shelton Company

SHELTON, Conn. – April 18, 2018 -50 years in business. It’s a historic milestone for any organization. Inline Plastics celebrated the occasion in style on April 17th, commemorating their golden anniversary in a celebration at their corporate headquarters building on Canal Street in downtown Shelton.
The event kicked off at 11:00 am with the president and owner, Tom Orkisz, welcoming the staff of the Shelton facility, the company’s Board of Directors. Also speaking at the event were Mayor Mark A. Lauretti of Shelton; Bill Purcell, president of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce as well as Kevin Kelly, State Senator. Additional special guests attending the celebration included Paul Grimmer, president of the Shelton Economic Development Corporation; and John Anglace, president of the Shelton Board of Alderman.

Orkisz, Mayor Lauretti, Senator Kelly and Purcell all made remarks to the assembled guests and employees on the long history of Inline Plastics and its contributions to the city of Shelton.

“Inline Plastics is a corporate leader in its industry. They are also a leader in our community and the city is truly fortunate that they have made their home base in Shelton for 34 years,” commented Mayor Lauretti. “Inline Plastics is recognized by the City of Shelton for its corporate citizenship to the community. On behalf of the City of Shelton, congratulations on your 50th Anniversary. The city wishes you continued success.”

“Not only are we one of the few privately held companies in our industry, our entire fifty-year history has been under Orkisz family ownership,” added Orkisz. “The stability of our senior leadership team, our deep and long-lasting relationships with customers, and our reliability and innovation coupled with a commitment to quality and product leadership are the cornerstones of our longevity and our future success.”

Following their statements, Orkisz was joined by the mayor, distinguished guests, board of directors and the senior leadership team at the front entrance of the headquarters building to unveil a celebratory 50th Anniversary banner next to the newly installed corporate sign.

Everyone then gathered at the pavilion along the Shelton waterfront park for a catered lunch.
