SHELTON, Conn. – September 12, 2018 – Founded in 1968 by Rudolph and Gene Orkisz, Inline Plastics celebrated its 50th Anniversary in April of this year. In the late 1990’s Rudy’s son, Tom Orkisz, became President and took ownership control. This industry leading food packaging manufacturer continues to thrive under his direction. Today, Inline Plastics announced that Tom’s daughter, Alicia Orkisz, has joined the Corporate Leadership Team as General Counsel and Director of Corporate Real Estate. This marks the third generation of the Orkisz family to be directly involved in the management and operations of this family-owned business.

“It is extremely rare for a fifty-year-old company to stay both privately held and under the ownership and direction of one family,” explained Tom Orkisz. “It is with great pride that our organization welcomes Alicia into the fold to continue the Orkisz legacy.”

Alicia Orkisz returns to Connecticut after spending the last five years working in commercial real estate for Greysteel in Washington D.C. As a member of the State Bar of Connecticut, her new role will manage two key functions for the organization – providing centralized management of all legal matters for the business; as well as analyzing, planning and executing the valuation, use and acquisition of the company’s industrial real estate properties.

“Due to Inline’s rapid growth, my focus will be on providing relief to each of the departments by managing all the various legal matters, while also assessing our real estate assets and planning for our future needs,” Alicia Orkisz explained. Her experience working with institutional investors in the valuation and sale of assets will be directly relevant as the company continues to expand.

From a familial viewpoint, Alicia’s long-term career goals always included returning to her family roots. “The plan was to get my education, start my own career, gain skills and experience, and then bring it all back to Inline,” she explains. Working with her father on a daily basis is an added bonus. “He has dedicated the last 27 years to Inline Plastics,” Alicia said with pride. “He has always been a mentor to me. It is a privilege and honor to learn from him and join the outstanding Corporate Leadership Team that is the catalyst behind Inline’s market success and industry leading innovations.”

Alicia Orkisz will be based out of the company’s Shelton headquarters building on Canal Street. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She received her JD/MBA from American University in Washington D.C.
